Hiding From Soldiers

acrylic on canvas, 36″ X 48″

In Central Africa, where greed for oil and other natural resources, fuels violence, people risk  poisonous snakes and crocodiles rather than be discovered by roaming soldiers. They hide in swamps looking for other displaced survivors to camp out with on muddy slivers of islands hoping that there will be a lull in fighting so humanitarian aid can be air dropped and hoping for eventual safe travel to refugee camps.
